Shervani Industrial Syndicate Limited was incorporated in 1948 by Late M.R. Shervani. The company was engaged in the manufacturing of Geep brand Torches & Drycell Batteries. Company's Chairman is Mr Saleem Iqbal Shervani is Former Union Minister, Govt. of India and its Managing Director is Mr. Mustafa Rashid Shervani. The company has diversified its activities in the area of Real Estate. After successful completion of its maiden real estate project "Sterling Apartments" at Muir Road, Prayagraj, now the Company is developing its own land at Shervani Nagar, Sulem Sarai, Allahabad. The project is named as "Shervani Legacy" which is a planned and duly approved residential gated colony by the Prayagraj Development Authority with full developed infrastructure facilities and having residential plots, commercial area, Group Housing and School. Shervani Legacy campus is having approx. 50% open area which comprises, Park, playground, pond for rain water harvesting and wide road with pathways. Company is also planning to construct a multispecialty Hospital within the Campus of Shervani Legacy in coming days.

The Company was incorporated on 25th February 1948 in the name and style of "Great Eastern Electroplators limited" with the objective of carrying out the business of color and chromium plating of consumer items. The name of the Company was subsequently changed to "Geep Flashlight Industries Limited" to identify with its new business activity, i.e. manufacturing and sale of flashlight cases (torches).After the expansion of its product stream to include flashlight cases, miniature lamps and drycell batteries as well as trading of other consumer goods, the name of the company was again changed to "Geep Industrial Syndicate Limited" w.e.f. 20th August 1979.

Till the year 1998-99, the company was engaged in full-fledged activity of manufacturing and selling of flashlight cases, miniature lamps and dry cell batteries. However, on the 25th of November, 1998,the company entered into a deal with two companies of Gillette India Private Limited, namely M/S Wilkinson Sword India Limited (WSIL) and Gillette Diversified Operations Limited (GDOL) whereby it sold "GEEP" brand, trade mark, designs, art work and distribution net work alongwith marketing assets to WSIL and its Mysore plant to GDOL. .
As the company's name "Geep Industrial Syndicate Limited" was identified with the brand "GEEP" which it sold to WSIL, the company's name was changed to its present name, 'Shervani Industrial Syndicate Limited.

The company was promoted by Late Mr. M. R. Shervani, an eminent personality who ventured into different businesses in the consumer goods market and set up Sugar Mill and Hospitality business. The present Chairman-Mr. Saleem Iqbal Shervani took over as Managing Director of the Comany in the year 1981. Mr. Saleem Shervani aged about 70 years is a B.A. (Hons) Gold Medallist in Economics from Aligarh Muslim University. He had held portfolios of the State Minister of Health and Family Welfare (Independent charge) and the State Minister of External Affairs. He was member of various parliamentary committees including the Consultative Committee of Ministry of Finance & Ministry of External Affairs and Central Advisory Committee on Science & Technology. In the year 1990, he was honored with Indira Gandhi Unity Award for outstanding services, achievements and contribution to the society. He was also a member of the Indian delegation to the UNO several times. He has been appointed as Chairman of the Company in Aug 2022. Presently the Company’s Managing Director is Mr Mustafa Rashid Shervani. He completed his schooling from the St Josephs School and College at Allahabad and graduated in Theatre Arts from The American International University, London in 2004. He joined the Indian Film Industry and learnt the art of film direction and acting from stalwarts of the industry. He continued in this line for almost 5 years. Subsequently he joined the Company as Chief General Manager in 2014 and was responsible for Company’s business planning and strategy.

Under his leadership the SISL has successfully developed a very well planned gated colony named as ‘Shervani Legacy’, in Prayagraj and also successfully completed the Group Housing Projects Tara Towers, Naman Homes and Amber Apartment. In the year 2022 he has been appointed as Managing Director of the Company by the Board of Directors.

Farco Foods Private Limited: Farco Foods is wholly owned subsidiary of the company and situated at Jagdispur in District Chatrapati Shahuji Maharaj Nagar (Amethi). It is a biscuit manufacturing unit. Presently the unit is working under Job Work agreement with Surya Foods & Agro Limited and producing the Biscuits under their brand name Priyagold. Approx 350 MT biscuits are produced every month
